Eligibility Requirements

Eligibility Criteria for Abstract Submissions

To be eligible to apply for this program, a person must be a faculty member who teaches Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering Technology at a university that grants degrees in accredited EE, CE, CS and/or EET programs.

Special Note for Teams: This call for projects describes the projects as a single topic proposed by a single person. However, projects by small teams that cover two to four related topics will also be considered. Each team member must meet the eligibility criteria. Each topic must be written as a standalone module that can be taught in one or two weeks in a typical first-year introductory laboratory-based course. If a team project is awarded, multiple awards will be made to the individual authors, up to the number of modules produced; however, there would be only one paper describing the set of modules in the special section of IEEE Transactions on Education. A team may submit an extended abstract up to three pages in length; guidelines for content and review criteria for team submissions are the same as for single-author submissions. If a team abstract is invited for project proposal submission, additional guidelines on project proposal submission for a team project will be given at that time.
