CSI: Audio Forensics: Solving a Crime using Signal Processing and Sound Source Localization

In this project, students learn how computer science forensics and signal processing can be used to help solve crimes. After learning about some real-world case studies, the students work on a "bank robbery case", processing audio data from several microphones to track the movement of suspects based on the footsteps. Programming is done in Java. In the process, students learn some basics about both Java programming and digital signal processing.
